Betty Jane Hamilton 92 of Lambertville, Mi. died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Ebied Hospice, Sylvania, Ohio. She was born March 18, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio to Roy and Helen Reed. During WWII she was an original “Rosie the Riveter”. She was employed with the Toledo Foodtown Stores, retiring with 27 years of service. Hobbies included boating and fishing, and spending time with her husband at their cabin in Mesick, Mi. Betty was life member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 9656 Lambertville, MI.
She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Price Hamilton; son, Roy Hamilton and daughter, Linda Hamilton-Rogowski; grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Rogowski, Troy Hamilton, Cory Hamilton and Royce Hamilton; 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends may gather at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, from 1:00 pm till 3:00pm Thursday, February 23, 2017. Graveside services will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
